PAYM Make - a - Wish Series

Make-a-Wish for the Heart 2005

Make-A-Wish From The Heart 2005 was jointly organised by the PAYM and the Hewlett Packard (HP) on Wednesday, 30 November 2005 at the Sentosa Island.

This meaningful community service project saw a participation of 420 youth volunteers come together to spread the spirit of care and compassion to the less-privileged in the community.

About 250 beneficiaries (including the physically disabled and children from the needy Homes) from eight homes were brought to the Island for a day’s activities. The participants visited places of attraction such as the Underwater World, the Butterfly Park, Pink Dolphin Lagoon and the Carlsberg Sky Tower.  The day came to a close with a concert performance put up by the youths to entertain the beneficiaries.

Make-a-Wish for the Environment 2004

Promoting the importance of environmental responsibility amongst our youths through the coastal clean-up.

The ‘Make-A-Wish’ series is a PAYM flagship programme that was started in 1996.  This programme has been a platform for PAYM to reach out to the various schools to nurture our youths in caring for our community and the less privileged in the community and to allow the organisations involved to strengthen the community partnership.

The PAYM Make A Wish series has seen many projects over the past few years such as ‘Make-A-Wish for the Children’, ‘Make-A-Wish for the Elderly’, ‘Make-A-Wish for the Underprivileged’ and ‘Make-A-Wish upon a Star’.  In 2002 and 2003, PAYM has partnered the Hewlett Packard (HP) in ‘Make-A-Wish from the Heart’, as well as ‘Make-A-Wish for the Environment’ in 2004.  Following the meaningful partnership, the PAYM and HP joined hands once again to play a part for the community in 2005 and organise “Make a Wish from the Heart 2005”.
