PAYM Awards and Central Youth Council Installation Ceremony

The People’s Association Youth Movement (PAYM) Awards was introduced in 1984 to encourage greater participation of members in PAYM programmes and activities.  It aims to recognise and reward Youth Groups and Youth Executive Committee (YEC) members who have made significant contributions to the PAYM.  These awards serve to encourage the Youth Groups and their members to play a more active role in reaching out to our youths.

The PAYM Awards is held once every two years in accordance with the term of the YEC.  Individual and group awards are given to deserving youth groups and committee members who exude excellent performance in the promotion of youth activities and development in those two years of assessment.  Special awards are also given to committees or ad-hoc project committees that have initiated outstanding youth projects or activities making a meaningful and extraordinary impact in the youth arena.  The PAYM Awards will also be held in conjunction with the Central Youth Council Installation Ceremony whereby newly elected Council Members will be introduced to all YEC members.
