The ‘Friends of PAYM’ is a programme in which the PAYM engages the youths from the Institutes of Higher Learning (IHL), namely the universities and the polytechnics, as well as the youth-related organisations through collaboration in meaningful events and activities. In these strategic alliances with such organisations, youths not only join in our activities as participants but also as volunteers in major People’s Association (PA) and PA Youth Movement’s events.
The ‘Friends of PAYM’ programme is part of the PAYM’s continuous efforts to engage the youths so that they can identify with the community as an integral part of their lives and create opportunities for them appreciate and own this process of community development. The PAYM believes that the programme can serve as a vehicle to promote community awareness among the youths and also promotes social cohesiveness and active youth citizenry.
