Organisation Structure

The PAYM is a movement driven by the youths for the youths.  It is a two-tier organisation, comprising 100 youth groups based at the CCs and a Central Youth Council (CYC).

The Central Youth Council

TThe CYC comprises elected Chairpersons and nominated members of the YECs from the five regions, and is supported by a Panel of Advisers, which comprises:

Youth Executive Committees (YECs)

Each youth group is managed by a Youth Executive Committee (YEC) comprising 15 to 30 members.  The YECs are elected biennially from among its Youth Group members.  The YEC’s main roles are to:

  • Initiate programmes for its members and involve them to carry out its programmes and activities; and
  • Work closely with the grassroots organisations to implement community development projects for residents in their respective constituencies.

There are currently 98 YECs.
