Youth Executive Committees (YECs)
Each youth group is managed by a Youth Executive Committee (YEC) comprising 15 to 30 members. The YECs are elected biennially from among its Youth Group members. The YEC’s main roles are to:
- Initiate programmes for its members and involve them to carry out its programmes and activities; and
- Work closely with the grassroots organisations to implement community development projects for residents in their respective constituencies.
There are currently 98 YECs, with 2 more in the process of being formed.
